*Shockwave Player is not even available to be tested using this browser so nothing is available to be downloaded. When I go to the Adobe test page (using Firefox, I click on Flash Player and it confirms that the latest version is installed so there is no issue with Firefox. I can confirm that 'Check Updates automatically' is set in Flash Player Settings Manager and I am aware that ActiveX, NPAPI plugin, PPAPI plugins will be installed in that order. I can confirm that Adobe Flash Player 27 ActiveX, Adobe Flash Player 27 NPAPI, and Adobe Flash Player 27 PPAPI are installed in Add/Remove Programs

Each update is performed individually and if all 3 are installed it can take up to 3 hours to update all plugins. This method will update Flash Player in the following order (assuming the versions installed): ActiveX, NPAPI plugin, PPAPI plugin. 'Install updates automatically' opts your system into Background Updates. They appear to be Adobe Shockwave Player files (2 different technologies).

Does selecting 'install updates automatically' in the Flash Player Settings Manager (within Control Panel and selecting Flash) check for updates automatically in all three browsers or do I have to go to the Adobe Flash Player test page using each browser and select that option?ģ.
